Stocks to Double in 2006 - we name them

Can I venture Mediwatch MDW for the stocks that could double in 2006 table.
2005 was a year of milestones and developments and this is not only set to continue but we should start to see the results, this coming year. The Company is a Supplier and manufacturer of high tech diagnostic primary care products for
screening, diagnosis and assessment of various disorders, among which is early
prostate cancer detection and the development of simple rapid patient testing systems.

2005 milestones,
-Legal action settled in the US,
-this in turn has lead to negotiations with US giant,Medtronic for distribution of certain products.
- deal recently signed with Medtronic to distribute in various countries worldwide the new 'Multiscan'.
- Multiscan just received CE and FDA approval,
- awaiting SDA approval on products for China, two distribution agreements already agreed for HK/China, approval due in January.
- recent placing at no discount to the price has raised cash and Directors bought decent amounts.

Why it will double in 2006?
Well apart from reaping the benefits of the approval and distribution deal for Multiscan which includes being sold in the huge US market for the first time, we should soon see the Chinese market opened up, with Approval being the last hurdle. The Company is currently loss-making and spending a large proportion on R&D, however, good take up of new products will see profits in the near future.
If that wasn't enough Mediwatch has a jewel, that has not been recognised by the market yet - it is called PSAwatch and is the World's first instant PSA test, here is a snippet from a well known tipsheet,

"Millions of the over 50s in the Western world have at least one PSA test per year. At present each one must first visit their GP to make an appointment, then go to hospital for the test, and then wait anxiously at home for a fortnight for the results. The Mediwatch test is the world's first and only instant PSA test. It can be performed in a GP's office, rather than needing a trip to hospital, and could cut the direct cost to the NHS by more than half.

The PSA test is the first step, and is followed, if necessary, by a prostate biopsy. While two million tests are carried out in hospitals in the UK each year, the figures overseas are much greater. Fifteen million tests are conducted in the US, with another 34m in Europe, China and Japan combined. The savings offered by Mediwatch's PSA testing device are as attractive overseas as they are here in the UK."

PSAwatch is currently going through the FDA approval process, which has taken longer than the Company originally envisaged when they stated in their Results at the end of June,
"Following the successful clinical evaluation of the system, we have commenced
application for regulatory approvals in Europe and the USA and we anticipate
releasing this ground breaking system to the market later this year."

However we should see approvals in the New Year for the PSAwatch and the Company has stated it is working on more Antigens for tests using the system (possibilities include markers for Ovarian and Bladder Cancer), so the system has further to go!
With Medtronic's interest in Mediwatch products the PSAwatch will be the one they will want to distribute.
As always DYOR.
