Stocks to Double in 2006 - we name them
graham_brown1 - Wed, 28 Dec 05 :
Firstly many thanks to CR for the thread and Hambi for his hard work on the list.
Secondly Hectorp's list above (post 486) are not even a 'one liners' just a list of Company names and their epics! How come he has not been awarded 'The Order of The Dipstick'?
My tip for 2006 is Ballarat Goldfields (BGF)
I first mentioned Ballarat Goldfields on the 2005 thread in August 2005 when the sp was around 12p, it is now just over 15p.
Ballarat Goldfields is an Australian gold explorer and developer, primarily focused at Ballarat in the highly prospective gold province in Victoria.
The first gold was poured on schedule on 21 December 2005.
The mine, based on BGF's geological model, has a life of 21 years, and the production rate is estimated at 200,000 ounces of gold per annum.
BGF has now made the transition from gold explorer to gold producer.
The company is dual listed on both LSE and ASX on which most of the share trades take place.
It first listed on LSE's AIM 2nd December 2004 at 7.5p and the sp has climbed fairly steadily.
Trading volumes are increasing and yesterday (27/12/05) it had the second highest volume of shares traded on ASX.
The Oz dollar improvement on the pound (currently around $2.30/GBP and has been $3/GBP), could also have a positive effect on the London sp.
In November 2005 an additional placement with major international institutional investors in London, America and Australia, was two and a half times over subscribed.
They have excellent management and have delivered the first gold bang on schedule, and if they deliver their estimated first years production of 100k ounces the sp could well double.
