Just back from sunnier climes to find that I've almost missed the boat for the "Doublers of 2006".
Quick thinking cap on, and two tiddlers come to mind.
The first is Electric Word (ELE), which is a publishing and online training company which has recently announced that "following a better than expected fourth quarter, results for the year to November 2005 are likely to exceed market forecasts".
Earnings of (0.28p) 0.53p and (0.04p) over the past 18 months suggest that the Company is now in better shape and with Fieldwork Online Training, acquired in June this year, possibly doubling it's contribution in 2006, next year's p/e may well be in single figures. Current buying price is 8.4p.
The second is TG21,(TGP),previously known as TOAD, which distributes in-car entertainment systems, sat/nav communications equipment and speed camera alerts etc to the retail trade.
The company is functioning better now that it has increased it's stake in 21st Century Crime Prevention Services to 75%, with an option to purchase the remainder. Daniel Stewart forecasts earnings of 2.6p for the year to December 2006, leaving the current buying price of 11.8p on a lowly prospective p/e of just 4.5.
I hold both (together with SMC) and are looking for considerably higher values in twelve months time.
