well I'd prefer to see new Coal power-stations in the UK, and probably some new Hydro dams in Scotland too. We are also forgetting out good old coal, 300-400 years' supply . Great to revive a coal industry too, with modern methods, and/or we can import from politically friendly places like Australia and Poland.
While the EU and environmental agencies may fret, what would happen if Russua decided to put the West of Europe under the cosh and bkackmail us in return for gas or oil supplies? Not to mention the situation is so many oil producing countries and pro-islamic ones. Coal power should now be a stregic inmperative in Britian.
