There are tie backs from other fields close by which will come via The Ching Field. As such the life of The field itself should be longer than 5 years. Last time I did the calculations I made it around 9 years. I am sure that SEY have not passed any money to the Government but have or are meeting both parties interests in the area. I am not even sure that they have drawn down from it yet.
The deal between The Government and SEY as to who receives what under the deal is not totally clear as far as I am concerned. Because it was done in commercial confidence. Very few people know the nuts and bolts of it. Although the other JV's at the time were smarting when SEY got the nod. So it must have been a good contract to acquire
