Re videoconfercening,
I think you need to look at new stuff, you need to look at network type,
3 * isdn, is that 384k or 192k,
contention depends,
Home 50-1
Buisness 20-1
All depends on the area your in,
Where using home dsl for buisness and gettin over 400k inbound continuolsy
But don’t forget your talking only 256/512,
You can always look at 256/1024
When I talk about fibre its not connection but bandwidth the pbx can handle
If you give every one 100mbs, your PBX has to support Users (depends on contention) * 100mbs
When I say end user cost, I mean that to use full 100mbs, the end user will need to pay premium compared to some who does not want 100 mbs
I agree copper will go, question of when and why, just got this feeling BT wont want to change media if they can help it at user end , increase bandwidth change local/end devices,
You say 10/20 yrs,
Hmmmm
doesn’t sound unresonable just think it will all revolve around APPS
VOIP
IPTV
Course as time goes on, the apps maybe become more efficient ? meaning you dont need the bandwith
