Hi Don, i did it a long time ago, it's all pretty basic stuff mate, and the sort of stuff that you could learn by following the links at the top of this page.
"paper" trading is the way to begin, which means you don't actually use any money, they are "phantom" bets, but it lets you get a feel for how the trading platform works with the spreadbetting company you join.
When you do start, please, please start very small, maybe just a £1 a point, until you feel confidant enough to increase your stakes.
DO NOT listen to people on the bulletin boards, by all means make notes and DYOR, and if you have any questions...stick them on here, we'll always try to help you. This aint a fast way to make money mate, believe me...money management is the secret to making a few bob, run with the winners, but BE PREPARED TO CUT THE LOSSES QUICKLY.
