About the moly, I thought this paragraph was an important one:-
During the year, it became evident that there were issues related to the
recovery of molybdenum from drilling operations. It is clear that in the course
of diamond drilling the soft nature of molybdenite combined with conventional
down hole drilling processes causes the mineral to be lost during drilling
operations. This issue is of concern to the Company and a review of drilling
activities was initiated mid year. That review also sought to identify ways of
mitigating molybdenite loss in the drilling process. It is clear from the review that disseminated molybdenite in granite porphyry and Skarn is minimal. However, drilling induced loss in more massive, flaky, laminated and friable molybdenite mineralised intervals in skarn is unquantifiable as the percentage loss cannot be determined. It should be noted that the recovery of molybdenite from sampling underground exploration development adits is not at issue. As such, the Company is looking to refocus on underground development as opposed to surface diamond drilling as a means of progressing exploration and evaluation of the project.
Specifically:-
It is clear from the review that disseminated molybdenite in granite porphyry and Skarn is minimal.
Does this mean that moly content is minimal in granite porphyry or moly loss is minimal? Either way, it seems to me that detailing moly grades here would be useful as moly content or loss is minimal and the moly measurements will therefore be quite accurate. I wonder how many drills/assays have been taken from granite porphyry and Skarn?
However, drilling induced loss in more massive, flaky, laminated and friable molybdenite mineralised intervals in skarn is unquantifiable as the percentage loss cannot be determined.
Moly loss cannot be determined, so the loss could in theory be 0-100%, I guess. A previous post on the BB suggested up to 40% was possible - if so, even these difficult to measure grades would be of some use to investors I think.
It should be noted that the recovery of molybdenite from sampling underground exploration development adits is not at issue.
Not an issue and so its a shame that grades aren't available from the 1,200m underground explo.
It seems to me that it's all down to the SRK report.
