SOCO - Now's the time to wake up!

I doubt that the COD basement, or 9-2 basement in general, is no longer thought to be of interest. However, it does seem to be seen as not being of short term interest. It's obviously a lot cheaper and quicker to prove up shallower reserves, and it also has the effect of maintaining rights over anything that may underly them. That's clearly the strategy in 16-1 and with COD-2X that seems to be being applied to 9-2 as well. It's also a strategy that fits well with an end game - prove up what you can cheaply and sell on, with the added bonus to entice the buyer of the deeper prospects.
