I did say I was going out on a limb and my predictions are why I don't visit the bookies!!!
unknighted - there are those on this forum trying to discuss the situation rationally. continuing to say that everyone is making excuses adds nothing to the discussion. we ALL know that no one stays up on excuses, however some are here to discuss ways of getting over the hurdles we have in front of us by coming up with ideas. I won't be happy if we go down after one season HOWEVER I won't criticise those players who give their ALL during the season.
I am NOT a Warnock fan by ANY stretch of the imagination and have consistently criticised his team selections and tactics in previous seasons - ESPECIALLY last season. However, I can see that he and his staff have done their homemwork, changed tactics and have motivated what is mostly a Championship standard group of players into ones that are competing with teams who have quality from front to back and are used to playing in this league which is why I will NOT aim criticism at Warnock or the players.
Until we can try and test out ways of playing against these teams we don't know how good our players can be. I go to all home games and can say that in my opinion we need to bring in maybe two or three players in key areas - before we can do that we need to thin out the already oversized squad.
I've offered my opinion previously about who should go, I am certain that we need a proven attacker and a strong, tall defender as our back four has two small players (who again, have played above and beyond all expectations).
I can stamp my feet and say "it's not good enough" but my six year old knows that get's him nowhere.
