M et C, I don't think that a fall in renewal of gymn membership figures will deter any buyer imo. I think the question is more of whether they will get acceptance of the offer from the management.
And to pose a contradictory argument, gymn memberships are renewed throughout the year, not just in Jan and there is usually an increase of people going to gymns after xmas to burn off all those mince pies. Also, I would say that it takes a lot for someone to change their life style, even losing their job.
