Well, I've also now spoken to the FD today, like Salmon Stuffer yesterday, and was also told that there would be a trading statement in January.
SS reported in his post that Davison was surprised about the rumour about the Beam Welding line, and I can confirm that he told me that he had only heard the rumour yesterday for the first time and that it is absolute rubbish. It IS being shut for two weeks for refurbishment, because it was first installed five years ago and has been working ever since. Also, it does NOT provide even close to 30% of group profits. The business is booming, and they are extremely confident about their prospects for at least the next four years.
It would be unfair to elaborate, but lets just say that I am extremely bullish about the up-coming trading statement.
