I agree that the unwanted ramping of BGT is annoying. I mentioned BGT at around 8 or so pence a little while ago. It is now at 15.75p, a quite substantial rise. This attracts the rampers who no doubt scan the movers of the day, dive in and try to keep the stock on the rise until they can bail. A problem that is unavoidable.
BGT do have underlying qualities hence my long term view and these qualities will eventually shine through and justify the sp once the rampers have gone and it is back to business as usual.
Don't be put off too much - SOLA was ramped to the high heavens during is meteoric rise of late but a rise was of course called for as you suggested far before the ramping started. The "justified" rise just attracted the "lazy" investors who need to ramp in order to make a profit. Investors who noticed SOLA’s potential prior to the ramping will no doubt still be in profit – if they did not sell on the spike which they would have done if they had their wits about them!
I suspect that like me, you often think quicker than your fingers can type and so from time to time, certain words get jumbled...imo, you need a person who can do the typing for you!
