Gondola, in the quest for tips, whilst in general have gone cold on the O&G sector for reasons we have already gone into, one that does have legs currently is PANR. They have cash, strong management, a healthy drilling programme of low to high risk sites, and one of the high risk but company making prospects looks like its coming good. Has had strong support over the last couple of weeks, and it may be a case of buy on rumour sell on fact - but suspect not and this share has potential to double in fairly short order if Plum Deep does show positive signs.
All in all it is everything SER is not, and at the moment is making good my losses in other O&G stock. Only trouble is they will announce further test results shortly (quite likely tomorrow) in which case it may be difficult to get in on the action. That said any negative news on PD (and the announcements have started very cautiously but have been getting more exciting of late) and the shares will plummet. But then that's O&G for you.
Longer term and non O&G - TAN, has done me proud this year but is likley to double again in 2007 methinks, and likewise believe strong performance still to be had from RCG
