Mine Man - Wed, 03 Jan 07 :

I think we tend to lose track sometimes of what the upside is when we're experiencing the downside!

Sefton are making money, something few oil companies on AIM are.
They have been acquiring land in Kansas, having geo surveys carried out, upgrading surface equipment and have tremendous potential for expansion in not only oil, but in CBM, an area they are looking seriously at moving in to.

Many investors have lost their patience which has led to gripes and snipes overpowering any positive aspects there may be.

Jim Elerton had grand ideas when he launched Sefton on AIM, many of these crushed by flood, fire and death.

There's no doubt 2006 has been the turning point albeit rather slow.

But there's no doubt that the scene is now set for the move forward, there's no doubt that to do it at the rate investors want requires financing.

Regardless of our friend's comments about Sefton being stuffed without it, we are all too focused on '10 million'!

What if they could only raise 5 million?

The move forward with that would be acceptable and be enough to drill additional wells and get that CBM project going, which in turn would certainly raise the value of the SP quite considerably.

The present price is quite ludicrous in that it is lower now than before their entry to profitability, upgrades and working to capacity.

Even without finance, if they are funding themselves organically AND improving facilities/expanding their leases etc, inevitably the patient will profit handsomely.

The main drawback to Sefton as an investment over the past year is that we could have gone elsewhere and made a bunce on our funds and came back for 2007.

But there again, many may well have lost a bunce when they could have just waited here for a year!

My running total is 1,000,054 now, I would be in serious profit at 15p so my 26p target would be very much appreciated!

Because I have not exactly based my retirement here, one year, two years, I am not bothered any longer. I've seen companies like this suddenly hit the big time and Sefton are NOT without this potential long term.

Imagine a quid by 2009! The one great thing about AIM is you just never know!
