Appointment of Bryan Smart as Non-Executive Director
SCOTTY Group plc announces that Bryan Smart FCA has been appointed as a
non-executive director with effect from 14 December 2006.
In 1981, Bryan Smart joined Daimler-Chrysler UK Ltd and progressed through the
finance division, including a spell as financial controller, until his
appointment as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, which had a turnover of
some #3 billion, in 1996. Subsequent acquisitions of dealerships in Metropolitan
areas under Bryan's guidance increased turnover by a further #1 billion.
After 25 years with Daimler-Chrysler, Bryan decided to pursue other interests
and brings with him vast experience of corporate governance in a large
organisation to SCOTTY, where he will take on responsibility for enhancing
Investor Relations.
Commenting on his appointment, Bryan stated "I am very much looking forward to
contributing to the future success of SCOTTY Group PLC and present the company
in such a way that its achievements are properly reflected in its value."
