I'm glad the TW deal has now finally been agreed. I think it will be a precursor to a full takeover by TW in due course, as there is logic there for both parties. Jane Cavanagh said in the Independent article that there would be convergence in the industry and that there was a natural fit between video game firms and film companies: "We will have to see what happens but you can generally acknowledge that there will be a convergence between different types of media. Movies and games is an obvious partnership". That seemed like a big hint about the possibility of a full takeover to me.
I could be reading too much into the article but it came across to me that the current arrangement is testing the water for both firms and that a takeover will follow, perhaps by this time next year. We will see...
