It looks to me that the MM's went short by 150,000 SEG
shares between the 13th December and the 3rd Jan.

I don't have data before the 13th December but
mikey001 calculated that they were 75k long at close
on the 15th.

My figures show that they then went 216k short so that
would leave them 141k short.

Below I've created two tables with my figures. The
first is where I have made adjustments to exclude MM
trades and to re-allocate trades where I judged that
there was little doubt as to whether they were buys or
sells.

The second table shows a summary of the raw data from
ADVFN.

One could argue that these figures are meaningless
because of the possibilty of "off-exchange"
transactions but anecdotal evidence would suggest that
at least two of the MM's are very short.


Anyone thinking of trading might speak to a proper
stockbroker and get a feel for the attitude of the
MM's.

My guess is that after the 14% rise on Nasdaq shares
of companies that have been caught in the tech. slump
but are profitable will rebound. Nividia went up 30%
today.

2 weeks to go before Sci's results and hope that the
MM's will have to buy back a substantial position.
Worth remembering what happened last time!
