Mud sticks - although Sainsburys do realise they have to match Tescos and Asdas prices - and are to a degree now with King in charge, the public opinion is still that Sainsburys is too expensive. On sweet potatoes they sell in Sainsburys at 188p compared to 128p in Asda. You can see why people shop eslewhere..

But in Tescos 2.5kilos of desire potatoes cost 158p yet in Asda they are only 97p, and Princes tuna in Tesco are 4 tins for 328p while in Asda 6 tins are only 334p - 6p more for 2 extra tins. Tesco are a bit naughty at times. But there are a lot of shoppers with too much money who dont really care what they pay. And the differences are not just pence. 61p on potatoes, If you bought 12 tins of tuna that would save you 328p - you could have a 1 1/2 pints of lager in some pubs in London for that.

The share price of Sainsburys though has gone up 30p just lately.
