As I mentioned before, a deal the size of the mooted JC Penney contract was always going to be over a number of years and my guess was for 5 -7 years.
One possible reason why the contract may be signed early in the new year is that a cautious IT procurement policy would want to see evidence that a new system could cope with expected business volumes satisfactorily. For a retailer this means coping with Christmas trading. However I would add that this is speculation on my part.
As has been said by a number of people, a good case can be made for NSB being cheap without further contract wins. The recovery though will be faster and longer with them.
