LONDON (AFX) - Tesco.com, the online arm of Britain's largest grocer Tesco Group PLC, reported record sales in the run-up to Christmas, the Times said citing figures from the company itself.
Bumper video sales of the hit film Bridget Jones's Diary, helped Tesco's internet arm to its best performance so far, the paper added.

The company took orders from 100,000 customers in Christmas week, delivering more than 1 mln bottles of wine, as well as 230,000 CDs and DVDs.

WalMart have also reported record internet sales.
