RingProp - With Charts

Great little board this. Being a bit of a novice who follows his gut feelings I didnt invest in Ringprop late last year when various predictions were that this share was the best thing since sliced bread. The price well over £3.00. You maybe read it, safety prop to beat all others etc. etc. US gov possibly to bring in new safety laws that would create a market place for 1,000,000 of these a year etc.

My previous life has been one of sailing on the high seas looking after the mega rich on there wonderful floating palaces. I have driven all kinds of tenders with inboards and out boards. Cases of guests having toes etc chopped off are not common but it happens and the payouts for negligence have been in the millions of $.

Nobody, or very few people in this industry use the safety guards on offer around the world. They seriously affect the performance of any boat using one. Ringprop have a product that by all accounts gets around this. Performance, if there own literature is to be believed, and I believe it, is only slightly down at the top end but acceleration is great unlike its competitors and a boon for skiing etc. Also fuel consumption is not affected, ie you get more sea miles for your gallon compared with other guards, a great plus in these high energy cost days. So the extra cost of these props, compared with using conventional safety fittings is soon paid back and steps are in place to protect people in the water. Have you ever been in the water near to a spinning prop, you have to have a great deal of confidence in the person in control of the boat!

The other problems with a normal prop is that if you strike the bottom they are easily damaged, a Ringprop will not damage quite so easily. Compared with a conventional guard though if a Ringprop were say to catch your foot it would still damage it I would guess, but in most cases you would still have toes to wiggle.

I have met the management of this company at top end shows and found their commitment to the company and product absolute. They have a slowly slowly catch the monkey approach to getting this product to the market place and I believe once it is established it will clean up and if the US does pass it's safety laws and Ringprop complies the future is more than rosy.

Their new agents around the world are credible but supply is most definately a problem as is the limited range, but surely this can be overcome.

If the present mamagement cannot pull this off there most certainly will be a good company going very cheaply sometime in the future.

I have watched the interest in this product first hand and it is high. I will for the moment keep watching and await my time to invest. After all a fall from 300p to 40p would have cost me dearly, the corner is close I feel but I will for now just keep a close eye on the company and await my moment. (If I have not already missed it!)
