This is what I said to ADVFN:



"Dear Sirs,

I am making this FORMAL COMPLAINT about two people posting on the SOLA thread(s) using multiple aliases and, in one case, attempting to impersonate a highly respected regular poster.

Firstly; an imposter using the handle OLIVERCROMMWELL has started posting using a name almost identical to the real OLIVERCROMWELL who is a respected, regular poster on these threads.

The intentions of this imposter are manifestly malicious and intended to deceive and mislead people, especially those new to the thread (as can be seen by two sample postings by this imposter at the end of this email).


Secondly: a person who previously posted under the handle polonium210 has reappeared using an apparently identicle handle polonium21O (the difference between the two handles seems to be in the last digit "0" which he/she has substituted for the letter Capital "O". This person is a nusiance poster who under his/her first handle posted incessent rubbish and was quickly filtered by most regulars. He/she has reappeared under the second apparently identical handle in order to avoid the filters so that he/she can continue to annoy legitimate posters and readers of the SOLA threads.


Please give me written assurance that both the above will be thoroughly investigated by ADVFN and that both will be permanently banned from ADVFN.

Both the above persons using false/multiple aliases are clearly deliberately breaching ADVFN rules in order to annoy your regular readers, poster and subscribers.

Furthermore, in the case of the imposter OLIVERCROMMWELL, this person appears to be committing a criminal act of identity theft and making fraudulent misrepresentations. If ADVFN fails to take, and shows that it has taken, immediate action to ban this person permanently from their web site(s) ADVFN may be considered to be party to these fraudulent mispresentations and be subject both to criminal and civil actions and damages.

The real OLIVERCROMWELL may well consider the actions of the imposter impersonating him to be libellous and harmful to his/her good name and reputation and be entitled to substantial financial compensation.

Furthermore, other readers and legitimate posters may consider the imposter OLIVERCROMMWELL to be using identity theft and fraudulent misrepresentations to deceive and/or mislead them or others in such a manner which may be financially detrimental to them, and therefore they may also be entitled to damages and compensation from this imposter and also from ADVFN, if ADVFN does not take immediate action and be seen to take immediate action, to ban this and other imposter(s) permanently and to appologise on the SOLA threads for the malicious and annoying actions of the imposter and others using multiple aliases.

Needless to say I am also offended by the crude and lewd language used by the imposter.
