well
im very surprised at the response to what i consider a fairly innocuous post. i have merely stated what i have done and what ( in my experience ) other posters have done.
extracting power from wind/tides most surely does affect the earths rotation(small and insignificant by todays standards that may be).who could believe that the gravitational field of that distant moon of ours could have such an effect on our tides and consequently weather systems?
i will not comment on the theory of chaos( wrt butterfly effect previously insinuated), other than to say the effect is often incorrectly attributed to real butterflies and real effects. it merely describes a geometric pattern derived from a simple formula, which when plotted, never repeats but resembles a butterfly.
my superficial research merely indicates to me that SOLA is not the only company out there wrt this technology.
the balance sheet is another matter entirely.
one site i checked gives an efficiency (sunlight to electricity of up to 95%, using said sites solar panels and that was posted nearly 25 years ago).
some of you diehards would get a lot richer a lot more quickly if you would listen to contrary arguments ( not that i believe i have posted any ).
ostriches and SAND......now theres a thought.
i will do what ive always done and buy when its going up and sell when its going down.
btw, are any of you investors concerned about the dire conditions endured by the workers extracting waste silicon from old electrical equipment?
china isnt exactly top of the league when it comes to human rights/working conditions
