Been hunting for reviews recently after the recent spate of expos's - not much been written about the shows yet. Came across this little piece about IBC which was quite good and nice words used:

We now move over to the Datavideo stand and Geoff is going to tell us about what’s new here.

Geoff: This company is going from strength to strength as a manufacturer of innovative digital video equipment. Jack Lin, the president and owner of Datavideo, works closely with customers to keep coming up with new product solutions to their problems and he is pushing the company to grow very quickly. They now have 90 staff in offices in major cities around the world and have a growing range of new products with specs and prices which New Zealand customers appreciate.

One new product from Datavideo at IBC is this new chroma key box, the DVK-100. It’s designed for realtime live production with a blue or green screen in the studio and has a second input for the background signal, a second camera or VTR. The box combines the two flawlessly. They are demonstrating it here with the Reflecmedia system which is pretty amazing too.

Ed: Is Reflecmedia a Datavideo product?

Geoff: No Reflecmedia is a separate company but it’s a product we are going to introduce in New Zealand soon. The great thing about this is that you can do green or blue screen chroma keying but without having to paint your studio walls green or blue. You just use this portable grey screen combined with a little light ring which fits over the camera. The keying works perfectly plus you have the advantage of not having any problems of blue or green light spilling over into the talent on the foreground camera. Also it’s nice and portable."
