Only if the frequency was visible, otherwise would only be able to pick up aided by the relevant technology.
Ok the point about scanning freqency ranges is valid to an extent, but gokelstones point applies, in the right application these sort of technologies can work.
I same way you can track vehicles / soldiers by traingulating radio frequencies, onyl saying that there may be some situations where an advantage to do this with light rather than radio....
yes, scalie with marking vehicles for entrapment cars, interesting. I was also thinking about the big roof markings used on coalition vehicles in iraq etc - ok during daylight, but wonder if at night a bit of illuminite technology would help reduce the friendly fire levels a bit...
