Energy prices edge up ahead of supply dat
NEW YORK, Dec 28, 2005 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Early trading of high-quality crude oil futures Wednesday lifted the price 14 cents to $58.30 per barrel.
And natural gas for January delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange added about a dime or 1 percent to the commodity's price, which hit $11.128 per million Btu.
Product prices edged up as well, with gasoline up 1.16 cents at $1.525 a gallon and heating oil up 1.80 cents to $1.655 a gallon.
The modest price increases came as traders braced for an inventory report from the U.S. Energy Department later Wednesday.
