Vav, I have a friend on off time at the mo who is contracted to CevTex. I may have may a job there construction work starts again, according to one of my old Angolan bosses who was transferred to Nigeria. CheTex have shut down a lot of their construction contracts for the time been.
The one my mate was brought in for in early 2006 was a huge new tank farm project. It has not yet started. ChevTex have guys sitting in their base in Escravous with nought to do, they don't want to loose them.A lot of swamp ops have also been shut down for now.
Willbros pulled out of a 600 KM ( I think the lenght is right, may have misheard him} offshore contact for ChevTex. So it's not all roses on the construction front there as you may well know. All I have stated is what my friend told me over the phone about 2 weeks back. I believe him as he was my back to back when I worked in Angola.
