I don't think that potential cures will harm dignostic kit suppliers like Provalis at all. There is still a huge need for testing.

It's pre-diabetes and the greater need for monitoring which is going to drive the number of tests. Treatments are only likely to be administered when a patient has reached a particular threshold. Moreover the likelyhood is that a 'cure' will not be 100% effective, which will mean repeat testing after treatment.

It;s competition from other test providers which will be the biggest threat to the future business at Provalis.
