"Scientists at TriPath's research and development operations in Durham are working on at least four tests to detect and better assess cancerous cells in the ovaries, cervix and breasts. The experimental tests home in on proteins produced by genes in cancerous cells. Industry analysts expect all four products to become available on a limited basis over the next three years."
"TriPath is also working on a breast cancer screening test, which is scheduled for introduction in 2006. With a market potential in excess of $1 billion per year, the test could eliminate about 1 million unnecessary biopsies per year."
I wonder if this infringes PRM's patent? Interesting to see the value of $1B+ put on the market for a breast cancer test in the US alone.
A happy and prosperous new year to all contributors to this board.
