It was the following quote from the interims, specifically referring to stroke, which drove expectations of a licence agreement this year. Only one agreement was promised:
"and a license agreement is anticipated this year, with a test expected on the market in approximately 12 to 18 months time."
Expectations of more than one deal 'in the coming months' would have been raised by this:
"With the business development team having now been significantly
strengthened and expanded, license agreements are expected to be
concluded in the coming months, with products launched in the market
within the next year and a half. We are also in active discussions that
we are confident will result in a number of strategic alliances with
pharmaceutical, diagnostic and biotechnology companies."
The way I read it PRM have delivered on their promise for 2002 but there remains plenty of anticipation in the months ahead. Far from being a cue for disappointment, 2003 looks to be a year full of promise and pay back time for those that have kept the faith.
