Proteome Sciences results in big news CJD + Stroke tests

Well, two days into the New Year now and the only contribution is from a lurker bearing good wishes (Happy New Year to you, too, board surfer).
It could only happen on the PRM thread - the collective siesta is just right for the circumstances. We've made the front cover of Nature Biotechnology with some laboratory magic which, despite the hurdles still to be overcome, represents a major step forward in a platform technology which could cure or provide major therapeutic treatment for some of mankind's most-feared diseases and the stock market has either missed the news completely or yawned and gone back to sleep on PRM.
Meanwhile our friends up in Edinburgh announce , despite the hurdles still to be overcome, a major step forward in a platform technology fraught with ethical concerns and which might just result in life extension by a few weeks months or years for a few thousand very poorly people. The stock market marks up PPL by 50%.
Against all my better judgement PRM has become something of a 'cause' for me, a state of anathema for most level-headed investors. That's why I'm always glad to see bearish comments on this board, even negative comments. They keep me questioning my holding.
The interesting thing about the rush for PPl shares is that if you had missed the announcement by just an hour or so you'd have missed most of the price rise. That's what keeps me, as a small investor, from short term selling and trading with my PRM shares.
