Yes, I have been badly wrong in my timing. That, however, raises a point of fundament importance to us all.
I had assumed that CJP was trying to conclude the TMT deal as quickly as possible. I think most investors believed that! How wrong we have been! And that is why I have been wrong in my timing.
I have only recently realised (although looking back it has been pretty obvious) that PRM have been deliberately and repeatedly delaying completion of that TMT deal in order to get the overall value higher before the takeover.
PRM are now waiting only for the final thing on the list of the main items that could do that. When that arrives the parties need not then even wait for the TMT deal to be completed.
In other words, I am convinced that the notification re the US patent (“any day now”) will result in the takeover announcement and the price multiplying instantly.
At this price I regard it as a “sitting duck” situation with enormous near term potential.
I believe, Ian, that by now waiting for an announcement before increasing your investment you will probably miss a great opportunity. As you say, you will not thereby lose money. But I think, at this stage, there is virtually no medium term risk.
The main point I want to emphasise is that I and many others (for at least a year and a half) have been misled by not realising PRM’s primary aim.
