Its okay blue. You offered your experience of small software companies (cash poor by the sounds of it - but I know you didn't say that explicitly) and extrapolated that into cash rich pharma. Events have shown it didn't hold water, but that's not a crime. However, rather than smile and move on with experience your leap to defence got me thinking I must have had too much sherry in my trifle and made an error in my recollection. You're the guy that analyses' people, their motivation and what they say. What does this mean? [Rhetorical question - no response required . Season of goodwill etc etc]

pxpx - no not kidding. Picking the year end, when pharmas who may have been dragging their heels are more likely to deal in a new financial year seems, of all times, a curious arbitary date to choose.

Glad to give you something to smile about, although I was simply reporting an observation of what occurs in many businesses. The observation was also aimed at the other deals in the PRM pipeline, eg ProteoSHOP, which may be with smaller pharmas than Abbott. Perhaps you're right, the timing of a multi-million deal may not, in the scheme of things, be a concern to Abbott (or whoever the 'huge pharma' turns out to be)
