Profit Warning in the New Year?

Time will tell!

This one will rise significantly at some stage when somebody finally steps in and launches a takeover bid. In the meantime however don't be fooled by short term blips in the share price, prices were all over the place New Years eve and the rise seen was on the back of nominal volume.

Give it a week or so, all the New Year share tips will seem a distant memory and the market will refocus on existing concerns. All the high street retailers will be releasing their trading statements next week onwards and don't be surprised when everyone runs for cover beforehand! And it will only take one profit warning and that will be it. Food retailers will inevitably be drawn into any downside.

Whatever you do, goodluck - we're all in it to make money! I simply believe there is further downside to come, at least in the next few months.
