Looks like Germany will follow France in making on-line gambling illegal for commercial companies.
Seems like a real battle is brewing over on-line gambling in the EU. No doubt the fudge will continue with each country free to make its own laws. Likely to put a crimp in the hopes of the big boys to recover outside of the US.
Odd how people still dont realise that on-line gambling is only legal in half a dozen countries in the world. Most of them are small island states.
The whole issue will just continue to grow as gaming companies try to expand into new countries.
Medium term its likely to keep the profitable gambling companies on low p/e's. Difficult to see another sector boom with years of legal wrangling around the world. Bottom line is that the US demonstrated how quickly a country can shut down our listed gambling companies from operating in their domain.
