Okay, so why wouldn't the price move with 30mil sells?

Because they could not possibly be reflected on SETS in one go. So that leaves 3 possibilities:

1) the broker (actually 3 brokers, I would guess) has soaked them up

2) we will see retail buys for the same amount later today.

3) they are not sells but buys which the broker(/s) has been acumulating for over the past few weeks - which would acount for some of the recent volume.


If the broker has soaked them up, he would have to be pretty confident that he could move them on at a profit.

If they were being exchanged, then we would have seen an X trade

If they are buys then the broker has just made a packet.

With 30mil retail gone through and AT trading coming off the offer, I am begining to wonder whether I should pull my own offer - especially as I seem to be to only person on the offer who is not an MM!

So, 30mil go through - the bid is strong, the offer is weak, I am the only punter on the offer, breakout is due..........
