Pipex Communications Discussion

bobdown2, I bought into Pipex and Partygaming around the same time. The reasons were very different though;

Pipex was meant to be a medium term hold and the expectation was that it would be either taken over or be involved in some Joint venture.

Partygaming and the gaming sector are not attractive to me and I only went into Partygaming after the sever drop. A pure deadcat for a quick profit. However the flurry of bad press and the silly statements from analysts persuaded me to keep with PRTY as I was convinced that it was playing a shrewd game of cat and mouse with its rivals. As the SP plumetted I was adding more money. Now it has turned around 180 degrees I am ploughing everything into it that I can.

Why sell Pipex then?
Because Pipex was a small holding and just in profit. Pure Portfolio decision.
I would not have sold Pipex if Adamind had been in profit.
