In order to obtain maximum reservoir draining a water drive or similar depletion drive system would be required.

What PELE are aiming for is to limit the bopd output, and therefore balance this against the natural energy in the reservoir to allow a lower, but stable bopd output which will carry on for a good few years. Allowing at a later date a depletion drive system to be put in place (likely via a new well and bottom hole location)

EG you do not drain at 1386bopd........you severely limit the output to say 200bopd, and maintain high reservoir pressure for constant output........in simple terms gently encouraging a leak to leak, at a steady 200 bopd.
