Why all this hatred towards Reuters? OK Ironhorse was the wrong company. But it was the Iraqi official that told the reporter IOG when he should have said OGI. Other than that the news article was correct!!! Both Avraysa and OGI were recommended to the Oil and Gas committee for the Khurmala Dome and Hamrin contracts. FACT!!!
If the article had mentioned PET instead of one of these companies we would have been all celebrating and singing the praises of this reporter.
If anyone is to blame it is the Iraqi official who leaked the story when he should have kept quiet. If Reuters hadn’t have published this news someone else would have.
So let’s just forget about the Reuters' article and concentrate on PET’s bright future.
OK what do PET holders have to look forward to over the next year???
I’ll tell you!!!
1) PET still in the running for both the Hamrin and S&L contracts.
2) Jordan MOU to be signed, which will probably lead to an exploration license in six months time.
3) PET going for Block 15 in Sudan. (to be awarded in January)
4) Exploration License in IRAQ for BLOCK 6. THE BIG ONE!!!
5) PET are also planning to tender for a further 6 contracts in 2005.
I don’t know about you guys, but IMO 2005 could be a very good year for PET!!!
