Good evening all. There are a few things which either I can't understand and make clear or other posters don't want to understand.
A couple of weeks ago when a translated the turkish article I did mention that these contracts were cash and not profit sharing(as these would be offered after the elections in jan 2005) and were for the redevolopment of the fields and not exploration. So why the surprise and fall in the sp when this was already known. Also people don't want to believe that OGI have refused the contract due to security and nothing else.Obviously this will not be disclosed as it would not benefit either OGI or the MOO.
Now their is one thing that I am not sure of and that is which other companies are in the bid for these contracts. You have to remember that we only get to hear what they want us to hear and nothing else. All this time we were lead to believe that PET more or less had these contracts sewn up and that their was no other credible co. who was able to do the work who also had such a good and long relationship with Iraq. When the first contract was announced there was not one person on this bb who knew that this consortium of co.s were bidding, but now when we look at these co's they all have been involved in working in Iraq over the years and also have been involved with work for some of the majors.
