George MacDonald Frazer is a Scotsman you idiot!
He started writing the Flashman stories about 30 years ago, the first of them being `Flashman at the Charge`. He has used the successful formula several times since and has placed Harry Flashman in all sorts of ridiculous situations. But the first was the best and when you have read that you have read them all, in my opinion.
