Golden Gate's drilling success rate is currently 71%. Drilling success in Project Area is high - 75% for shallow wells, 100% for deep wells (as stated by Golden Gate for discovering gas, although one of the two deep wells had mechanical problems and was not put into production). There is major infrastructure in the region with spare pipeline capacity.

- Padre Island is a world class portfolio of deep gas exploration prospects located in a rich hydrocarbon basin surrounded by other lease areas with proven producing gas wells.
- To date five deep gas wells have been drilled on the Padre Island leases, all with gas produced to surface, and 3 are currently on production.
