Teci You should not be afraid of doing your own bathroom . I would point out that PD was a pipe fitter - it is not rocket science. Going back 25 years , I went to the library , got a book about heating systems , designed and installed my own . It saved me a bomb! (and it worked fine ) My advice is to use plasic push fit pipe for the low pressure (drains and overflows ) and copper 'Yorkshire' solder fittings for the hot and cold water, with compression fittings where they are absolutely essential . When you use 'Yorkshire' fittings , clean the pipe thoroughly with wire wool and coat it with plumber's flux. Ensure the pipe is pushed fully into the fitting and apply the blowlamp , until you see the solder appear at the end of the fitting . It is 100% foolproof and will give you a perfect seal every time . Please note even Paul Davison was bright enough to make the grade as a pipe fitter ! Gerald , Yes it is interesting that PD sold some of his shares as low as 12p . That says everything , don't it ? He created the most significant invention in pipework fittings in my lifetime and then sold all his shares at this ridiculous price because of a spat , leaving astute cookies like Stan Fraser and Angus Munro to pick 'em up (and hold them ) . He WILL live to regret it - HUGELY......Ladron
