Just completed a bathroom myself. New floor, moved internal wall, new suite in different place. Used John Guest Speedfit fittings - simple plastic connectors, very forgiving. Didn't even turn the mains off when I put the heated towel rail in - just used Speedfit stops whilst I worked out where the pipes were going to go. A few leaks & splashes but nothing serious (compared to a mate who insists on using copper). Why? Well the quote was £7,500 for work plus basic new suite. We fitted expensive suite, taps etc and still saved £5,000. Trouble is it took time .....
