OYSTERTEC

Hi thanks for that here is the full extract from Questor in the DT.OYS is one of his 6 tips for 2002.
Our final pearl is a tiny, risky company called Oystertec. Chaired by former Matalan head Angus Monro, it has patented a pipe-joining device called the Oyster Converter, which can join pipes carrying gas or liquid without welding or compression of the joint.
The company floated on the Alternative Investment Market in February at 23p. Since then it has bought IBP, a plumbing operation that gives the company a European distribution network. The company placed £30m of shares and secured a £20m debt facility.
Oystertec, at 39.5p, down from over 60p, is what is known as a "concept stock". That is, the company has the technology and the patents, but its success lies in whether it can convert a brilliant idea into a mass product. If it works, the world will be your oyster, but only if you are a shareholder.
As Grandpa gripes keeps informing us OYS has yet to react to the change from a concept to a full grown company with the buying of IBP.From that point of view OYS is a bargain as the full impact has yet to hit the market.IBP should ensure that there is more upside to OYS share price, and thats without the full potential of the fittings being used by car component co's and Hydraulic co's.Still we on this thread are aware of OYS and its star quality are we not ??.
cheers
Damian
