Not sure how you make a connection between VOG and Gazprom, but as you rightly point out, it will not have an effect on a gold miner in Uzbekistan at all, IMHO.
They have actually tried to raise the price of gas supplied to the Ukraine by up to 400%, which has been refused and the two sides are deadlocked.
Russia has not increased prices to those former Soviet republics that remain under their sphere of influence!
I wonder when the next Ukranian elections are?
Back to OXS, it ws reassuring to see hte price advance after the AKI article, proving that the market didn't give much credibility to it.
I still think there will be a knee jerk if Jeeroy is lost, but we shall see in due course.
