phillis - all the recent press reports are from the same source, namely AKIpress. How independent and impartial do you think they are? I suspect they're nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Kyrgyz government and certain members of the government are using carefully manipulated statements released through AKIpress to try to extract bribes in return for the re-instatement of the licence.
We're none the wiser as to exactly why the licence hasn't been given back to Oxus but if there was an overwhelming reason I'm sure the Kyrgyz would have told us by now rather than leaking ambiguous and unfounded statements through the press.
From what we've been told, Oxus have satisfied all the conditions asked of them so as long as they don't give in to attempted bribery the Kyrgyz will eventually relent and the licence will be re-instated to it's righful owners.
The Kyrgyzstan government has more to lose than Oxus if the licence isn't re-instated so perhaps Oxus are in a stronger position than you think and time is running out for the Kyrgyz.
I also take comfort from the fact that none of the large institutions have jumped ship and the share price has risen almost relentlessly since the beginning of August.
