20430 (Post 5745) the context in which I mentioned AZM was in response to another poster (Istykhan - 25 Dec'03 - 19:47 - Post 5724) who made some unrealistic predictions about OXB and drew some far-fetched similarities between OXB and AZM, as follows:

merry xmas to all of you.i have just joined this thread to say how exciting the
next year for oxb could be. there is a distinct possibility of a mega licensing
deal and the company could be valued at a market cap upwards of £500 million.
if anyone thinks that is too optimistic just look at what ALIZYME did after
their rights issue and in my opinion oxb has a better product pipeline and
platform to spring forward from. already many share magazines and fund managers
are putting oxb at the top of their shopping lists for the new year.

Istykhan, I am not aware of any share magazine or fund manager putting OXB on their "shopping lists for the new year".

Alizyme expect to out-license three drugs during 2004 (COLAL-PRED, ATL-962 and Renzapride) and one during 2005 (ATL-104). Three of AZM's drugs have completed PIIb and one is in PIIa. Conversely, Oxford Biomedica (if very lucky) may out-license Trovax around the end of 2004 or in H1 2005 (12 to 18 months from now) imo. The rest of OXB's pipeline is early stage or pre-clinical, and all is high-risk. Alizyme is the better short-term investment of the two imo. (Incidentally, Framlington have just increased their stake in AZM).
