Seasons Greetings, gang. My-o-my have I missed some fun and frolicks here!
OK lets get down to business:-
Good to see plenty of coverage, comment and indeed recognition in the media about OXB's prospects for the coming year (funny that).
Only one article I found over the break which haven't seen mentioned here was a piece in The Business [special edition] magazine "World economic and political preditions for 2007".
Guess what, in the one page article on the global Pharmaceuticals Sector the author comments on the fact that big pharma will have to take some dramatic actions to mitigate patent expiry and poor pipelines (I know - yawn - but these are now getting serious...potentially very serious and consoldation in the sector is more prob than poss).
So, the author noted, look for big Pharmas in 07 having to turn to new and riskier product and treatment areas. A 'return' to gene-therapy was predicted. Two emerging Biotechs were mentioned OXB (hello!)and ARK. Article stated that Trovax looked like it could be a promising treatment for Renal, Prostate and Colon/colorectal cancer. Think I'm right in saying that Lentivector was mentioned too.
Enjoy 2007 - fwiw I don't expect it to disappoint! OXB is now a sizeable echo on many a radar screen. Perhaps that should be more a cause for concern as I fear for our continued independence; if we can just get through 07 then I believe the fwd prognosis to be good.
